Hari Prasad Piridi

I am a Director of Data Science at Walmart GlobalTech, where I lead multiple teams in the Applied AI Catalog organization building and scaling ML systems that serve hundreds of millions of customers. My work spans search, personalization, recommender systems, and product intelligence at scale, focusing on Graph Neural Networks, Large Language Models, Knowledge Graphs, and Causal Inference. I have led initiatives including GenAI Review Summarization (showcased at CES), a causal inference framework for personalized badge selection and page-level optimization, and item relationship detection.

Previously, I spent 14 years at Microsoft India R&D as a Lead Data & Applied Scientist in the Azure Cloud+AI Org, leading data science teams across Cloud Supply Chain and Capacity Planning. I led teams that built models for Automated Quota Management, Cloud Demand Forecasting, and Offer Restriction Effect estimation, collaborating cross-functionally with Microsoft Research.

I hold an M.Tech in Data Science and Engineering from BITS Pilani and am currently a research scholar at BITS Pilani, researching Spatio-Temporal Graph Representation Learning using GNNs. I have published research papers and journals in reputed conferences and international journals and also hold multiple US patents.
